What is Crucible?
An AI control system for macOS. Several AI agents run on your machine, coordinate with each other, and act on the computer directly.
Agents coordinate directly
Crucible runs several AI agents at once. Each has its own identity.
Agents exchange authenticated messages over local Unix-domain sockets. Sender identity is bound to a per-identity key held in the macOS Keychain, and delivery fails closed when that key is unavailable.
Local state and execution
Model helpers, speech-to-text and voice analysis run on your hardware.
Interface control
The macOS app maps interface elements to configurable theme settings. These cover 31 typography roles, layout canvases, border widths, corner radii, opacities, grid styles and icon treatment.
